WhatsApp

WhatsApp is the one sending channel where Selda cannot write first, and cannot write at all without a person. A human opens the chat, a human answers it. No campaign, no sequence and no scheduled job has a path to this number.

That is deliberate. WhatsApp is somebody’s phone, in their pocket, on a Sunday. A channel where an automation can reach that is a channel that will eventually embarrass you on it.

WhatsApp is an add-on. The price is on the pricing page.

Connect your number

  1. Open Settings → Channels and choose WhatsApp.
  2. Scan the QR code with the phone that holds the number.
  3. Selda reads the conversations already on that account so the history is there when you need it — the last 30 days, both directions, with the contact’s name and picture. Archived chats are left out, and older messages are not fetched backwards, because every page read costs the phone at the other end.

What you can do

  • Answer an incoming chat from the Sales Inbox, where it lands beside the lead’s email and LinkedIn threads.
  • Start a chat with a number you have, by typing it in. Selda can draft what to say from what it knows about that company; you send it.

What Selda does not do here

  • It never writes first on its own. Nothing automated can reach this channel at all.
  • It does not answer for you. A reply is drafted only when you ask for one.
  • It is not the Selda bot. The assistant you chat with on WhatsApp to run your own workspace is a different number and a different thing; this one is how your customers reach you.
